Just like a phone that dies without being connected to its charger, we too cannot function—and will eventually wither—if we aren't connected to our true source of power and life.
In this sermon on John 15:1–17, Pastor Mace Perez unpacks Jesus’ seventh and final “I am” statement: "I am the true vine." As Jesus continues His Upper Room Discourse, He teaches His disciples how to stay connected to Him in order to fulfill the mission He is sending them on. And we will explore the deep and practical implications of this powerful metaphor for our lives today.
Discover what it means to abide in Christ.

The resurrection of Jesus stands at the heart of the Christian faith, but is there credible evidence to support this extraordinary event? And could such a miraculous occurrence truly be the best explanation for the facts we have?
In Session 3 of the “Why Believe?” series, Pastor Mace Perez explores these important questions in "The Resurrection." This lesson presents four key strands of evidence that support the historicity of Jesus’ resurrection—evidence even acknowledged by critical scholars. We also look at the flaws in the four most common naturalistic explanations and responses to the most frequent objections.
Join us as we examine one of the most pivotal moments in history.

How would you feel if someone close to you told you they had one night to live? That is the situation that Jesus’ disciples found themselves in the night before he would go to the cross.
In this sermon on John 13:36–14:31, Pastor Mace Perez points out three comforts that Jesus gave his disciples to encourage their hearts. One of these comforts is the 6th of seven “I am” statements in the Gospel of John, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” May these words likewise give comfort and encouragement to your heart.

C.S. Lewis famously said that to make the claims that Jesus made means that he is either a liar, a lunatic, or he is Lord. But that argument presupposes that the Gospels accurately record the life and words of Jesus. Do they? How do we know?
These are the sorts of questions that Pastor Steven Hiller addresses in Session 2 of “Why Believe?”, “The Trilemma.” In this lesson, he lays out six strands of evidence that support the accuracy of the history, including Jesus’ claims about himself, in the Gospels.

If you knew you had one night left to live, how would you spend it? We know how Jesus would spend it because his last night before he went to the cross is recorded for us in the Gospels.
In this sermon on John 13:1–35, Pastor Mace Perez teaches on one of Jesus’ most famous acts, washing his disciples’ feet, and the three lessons he intended to teach the apostles through this act and the implications they have for us today.

We all live by a story. The question is, “What story do we live by?” And “Is the story we live by true?” “Is there such a thing as one true story of the whole universe?” “Should I even care?”
These are the sorts of questions that Pastor Steven addresses in session 1 of our adult Discipleship Class, “Why Believe?” based on the book of the same name by theoretical chemist Neil Shenvi, “Why Ask, ‘Why Believe?’”

Our lives are a part of one grand cosmic Story, written by God, the good and righteous author. But sometimes it may not feel like that. Sometimes the Story takes difficult, painful, and confusing turns.
In this sermon on John 12:36b–50, Pastor Steven Hiller explains how the story of Israel and the story of Jesus remind us that no matter what, we can trust the author of the Story.

Why would Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey be an event so important that all four Gospel writers, including John, felt the need to include it in their accounts of the life of Jesus? And what implications does this event have for us today?

To what (or to whom) can we look for hope, no matter what comes our way?
