God the Son | His Divinity, Part 2

Who is Jesus—really?

In this episode, we continue our study through the Nicene Creed, focusing on the full divinity of the Son. In A.D. 325, the Church gathered at Nicaea to respond to the claim that “there was a time when the Son was not.” The Creed’s answer was precise, biblical, and enduring.

We explore what these defining lines mean:

  • God from God

  • Light from Light

  • True God from true God

  • Begotten, not made

  • Of the same essence as the Father

  • Through Him all things were made

What do these phrases actually communicate? Why did they matter in the fourth century—and why do they still matter today?

In a world where many people say, “I believe in God,” but mean very different things, clarity is essential. The Creed gives us language rooted in Scripture to confess that Jesus Christ is not a created being, not a lesser god, not an intermediary—but truly God from God, Light from Light.

If you’re seeking a deeper, historically grounded understanding of who Jesus is, this episode will help you think carefully and worship confidently.
