God the Son: His Divinity, Part 1
What does it mean to call Jesus the “Son of God”?
In this teaching session, we explore one of the most profound claims of historic Christian faith: that Jesus Christ is not only Savior and King, but the eternal Son of God.
The earliest Christian confession was simple but revolutionary: “Jesus is Lord.” In the biblical context, this means Jesus shares in the divine name and authority of God.
The Creed describes Jesus as the “only-begotten Son of God… begotten of the Father before all ages.” This does not mean Jesus had a beginning. The Son is from the Father, but not after the Father. There was never a time when the Son was not, because there was never a time when the Father was not the Father.
This isn’t abstract philosophy — it’s about worship. If Jesus is truly Lord, then worshiping Jesus is worshiping the one true God.
